Cemetery & Parks Meeting
July 9, 2012

The meeting was opened at 7:08PM present were, Ray Boyes, Tubby Boucher, John Barrett, Roger Rapoza and Pam Haman. .
Correspondence: none.
Bills were reviewed approved and signed.
Minutes of the June meeting were reviewed. Tubby Boucher moved to accept the June minutes. All were in favor motion carried
Superintendents Report:
The spruce tree across from the congregational church on the common needs to be taken down. The Commissioners wanted to be sure that the tree was not a donated tree. After a review and brief discussion it was noted that this tree was not donated. John Barrett made a motion to remove the spruce tree. Tubby second the motion all were in favor motion carried.
Information was received from the Elm Research Institute about purchasing elm trees. Several trees need to be replaced on the common. A tree will be purchased from the Elm Institute and paid for out of a park trust fund.
A letter was sent to Dave Sanderson regarding his past due account.
Lawn Mower, options are being looked at for a new riding mower. Several of the machines have accumulated lots of hours and usage. Up to $4500.00 could be spent for a new mower. Monies would be taken from varies department trust funds, revolving fund and general fund, Quotes will be gotten for a Husqvarna mower.
Other items:
A discussion was held on the Town Charter; John has attended several meeting about the charter and revisions. The Department is looking to clarify roles under the charter and the Mass General Laws. The department will have further discussions this summer and fall.

Tree Cutting and clearing
Work on new cemeteries
Up grading water lines in cemetery.
